Thanks Tom! I would agree with both Bertaud and Thomson: because Vancouver lacks land, wasting it has a bigger impact than in Edmonton, for example. And I've definitely had a lot of conversations with people who are suspicious of development and profit, or who believe intuitively that building new homes drives prices and rents up rather than down.
