Didn't the province pass a law that there can't be public hearings for rezonings that follow the community plans? Or does this somehow not apply? I'm a bit out of the loop.
They did: for a rezoning which complies with an Official Community Plan, there's no public hearing.
Problem is, the city of Vancouver doesn't have an Official Community Plan. The Vancouver Plan (approved in 2022) doesn't count - it's more like a plan to make a plan. The Broadway Plan doesn't count, either. Vancouver is aiming to have an approved Official Community Plan by June 2026.
