How to vote
Voting is now open in the OneCity nomination race
SimplyVoting sent out email ballots shortly after midnight on May 2:

The deadline to vote is Sunday May 10, at midnight. The results will be announced on Monday May 11. I’ve included more details below.
As always, my campaign website is russil.ca, and there’s a feedback form. (Letting us know that you’ve already voted is very helpful with the final get-out-the-vote push, so that we don’t need to keep contacting you!)
How to vote
There’s a link in the email that takes you straight to your ballot. There’s three steps: entering all your choices, confirming your choices, and confirmation that you’ve voted.
It’s a ranked ballot, and you can rank as many candidates as you want. For council there’s four open spots. Your #1 and #2 choices are most important, but if your first choice doesn’t make it, your vote isn’t wasted, it just gets transferred to your second choice, and so on. To get elected, a candidate needs 20% of the votes.

Russil Wvong
Peter Waldkirch (also a strong housing advocate)
Frances Bula (helps to broaden OneCity’s appeal, has an urbanist perspective)
Iona Bonamis (transport planner, ran for OneCity in 2022 and came very close)
I’d actually suggest including all the other candidates in your ranking, although the exact order doesn’t matter so much as you get further down the ballot. It’s a very strong field!
For school board: there’s six candidates and five open spots. Five have cross-endorsed each other, and there’s also Christopher Lee, a Grade 12 student who’s a very active organizer and who’s great on social media. Again, a very strong field, and I’d suggest including all of them in your ranking.
For park board, there’s three candidates and three open spots, you just need to approve them.
