Vancouver city councillor Christine Boyle was one of the four consistent Yes votes on housing during the 2018-2022 council term. She’s now running in the October 2024 provincial election, as the BC NDP candidate for the new riding of Vancouver - Little Mountain.
Because David Eby and the BC NDP government have been pushing hard on housing, and because John Rustad and the BC Conservatives (currently running a strong second in the polls) are promising to roll back the provincial housing reforms, the stakes in the October election are quite high. I’ve been volunteering with Christine Boyle’s campaign, knocking on doors in the riding.
Her campaign is holding a fundraiser in a couple weeks. Ravi Kahlon will also be there. If you’d like to attend, tickets should be available up to the day of the event. Register here.
When: Thursday August 1, 2024, 6 to 10 pm
Where: Beaumont Studios, 316 W. 5 Ave
Cost: $100
